What to Have Ready When You Reach Out
The fastest quotes come from the calls where we can picture the situation straight away. Three things help most: where the insects are going in and out, roughly how long you have noticed them, and what the surface is — brick, stucco, wood siding, a soffit, or the ground. If you can safely take a photo of the entry point from a distance, that is often enough for us to tell a honey bee colony apart from a paper wasp nest before anyone is dispatched.
It also helps to know whether you have heard buzzing inside the wall. A few bees coming and going at a gap can mean scouts checking the cavity out, which is a much smaller job than an established colony that has been building comb for a month. Either way, please do not spray the entrance before we arrive. Spraying drives a colony deeper into the cavity, leaves the comb and honey behind to melt and stain the drywall, and turns a straightforward live relocation into a far more invasive removal.
What Happens After You Get in Touch
We answer the phone during working hours rather than routing you to a call center, and the person you speak to has usually been on a removal that week. If the situation is urgent — a swarm on a walkway, an active nest beside a door, or stinging insects near someone with an allergy — say so, and we will prioritize it for same-day attention where the day's schedule allows.
For anything non-urgent we book an inspection, identify the species on arrival, and give you a firm price before any work starts. We never quote a final figure over the phone for a colony inside a structure, because the cost genuinely depends on where the comb sits and how much has to be opened to reach it. Once you approve the quote, we handle the removal, take the comb and honey out with the bees, relocate the colony to our apiary, and seal the access point behind us.
If you would rather see the work before you call, the removal video gallery shows real jobs from start to finish, and our customer reviews cover response times and pricing in the customers' own words. You can also check the service areas we cover across both metros, or read up on the specific insect you are dealing with under our services.
